Buying The Famous Rattan Bags in Bali #WonderfulIndonesia
Bali was our last destination of the Wonderful Indonesia trip. In Bali, we went to Ubud and Seminyak. After landing, we went straight to Mrs Sippy beach club for lunch and chill time. I had a really nice avocado toast and a bowl of falafel and veggies. Mrs Sippy is the only beach club in Bali that has the largest salt water pools. After chilling and relaxing at Mrs Sippy for the rest of the day, we did an early dinner at this Indian origin restaurant called Indus. The restaurant was playing old retro hindi songs (so cool, right?).
We stayed at Plataran, Ubud. Next morning, after having breakfast at the hotel, we went for cycling around the paddy fields where I got the famous Bali swing picture clicked. We had our lunch at a vegetarian place, Kismet and the food there was really really nice. After that came the part for which I was most excited for, the famous street market of Ubud. I was really really eager to buy rattan bags, which are a speciality of Ubud. I bought a couple of them at a really good price. We also went for coffee at Seniman. Then we went to watch, Kecak Fire & Trance, which is a dance related to Hindu mythology, Ramayana. After that, we had our dinner at Milk & Madu and I had pita bread with pesto hummus, chips & guacamole, vegan patty burger and chocolate pizza with vanilla ice cream for dessert (all of my favorites). It was one THE best dinner I had on this trip. This place is a must visit if you are in Ubud.
The next day we checked out and went to Sunday Beach Club. We all had a lot of fun, just chilling by the beach and having coconuts. Post that, we had an open sunset dinner at Menega Jimbaran and then checked into our last property in Seminyak, Montigo. As we had only a couple of nights left, we all went to party at La Favela, danced our hearts out and had such a great time.
On the 2nd last day of our trip, we had a spa session in the morning at Prana, to relax all of us from so much traveling before we all head back. After that we had a family setting type lunch at Parachute Resto. The lunch was so so good, especially the bruschetta, I almost went overboard on them. We got ready for our farewell dinner, which was at Manarai Nusa Dua. As it was almost the end of the trip, everyone was feeling very nostalgic already and at dinner, a round up video of the whole trip was played, which left everyone in tears. The dinner was so nice, but the desserts stole the show.
The last day we checked out and visited, Hatten Wines, the first wine factory of Bali. After that we went for lunch at Artotel Beach Club with few bloggers, as some of the bloggers had already left. We clicked some more pictures and finally it was time to bid adieu to Bali. And that marked the end of this wonderful trip.
