Celebrate Ethnicity this World Ethnic Day!
Hope you’re doing amazing! Delhi’s scorching heat is making me go crazy. Which part of the country are you from? The result of this heat is where I explore breezy outfits and most definitely comfortable fabrics.
Today’s blog is really interesting. Did you know it is World Ethnic Day today?
This is why I have partnered with craftsvilla for all of us to find our ethnicity within us and reflect the same, atleast for today! This is a day when we can take out some time to connect back to their roots. From wearing ethnic clothes to eating ethnic food, or even speaking in your own language, this day is all about celebrating ethnic.
For me, whenever I crave ethnic, which I anyway like a lot, I like to explore. From basic skirts paired up with a tank top, to a simple Anarkali ethnic dress, I am pretty flexible with my options.
But to celebrate World Ethnic Day, I decided to go with my all time favourite ethnic piece of clothing, a simple yet chic & elegant saree! I have always seen my mom wearing sarees during her day to day routine, and I guess it is from her that I get my love for sarees!
To transform a little from the simplicity and create a look which is also modern, I decided to play with the design of the blouse and a little with the jewelry.
The backless cris-cross blouse, adds the edginess in the entire look, along with a peplum design on the sleeves, which has been beaded with pearls. Also, if you noticed, I wore this saree in a non-conventional way, letting go of the pleats, and adding just one. If you’d like to know how I did the same and want me to make a YouTube tutorial video for the same, comment below and I’d love to make one for you’ll.
To complete my look, I decided to go with simple straightened hair and a pair of oxidized silver earrings to complete my contemporary look!
