Exploring the capital city of Indonesia : Jakarta #WonderfulIndonesia
Hey you all, hope you are doing great. I know I have been inactive for sometime now, but I have some really amazing stuff to share with you all (hint: expect a lot of travel blogs and outfit details as you know I have been traveling back to back). First up, as known to you all, recently I got this really great opportunity to explore Indonesia and represent India among 24 other international bloggers. This trip was made possible by the Ministry of tourism of Indonesia. The first stop of this wonderful journey was Jakarta via Singapore. After landing in Jakarta, we checked into Pullman Hotel and I was really overwhelmed by the welcome they gave us. Day 1 was all about meeting all bloggers and the whole team of Tourism ministry of Indonesia. At night, a lovely dinner was awaiting us at Hesa Room, Pullman.
I was so excited to begin this wonderful journey with new people, that the next day I woke up with the biggest smile on my face. We went for a ‘Jamu’ session at Acaraki. Jamu is the traditional Indonesian welcome drink, made with turmeric and tamarind. Everybody tried their hands at making this yummy drink and it turned out to be a really fun session. Next we went to see some traditional Indonesian dance at Galeri Indonesia KAYA and I tried some moves as well. We had lunch at this nice place Social House, and I must admit that it is very difficult to find vegetarian food in Indonesia, but the team was so good that they always arranged vegetarian food for me everywhere we went. After lunch it was time for some spa at Taman Sari Royal Heritage Spa and it was by far the best spa of my life (must try when you visit Jakarta).
Jakarta is the capital city of Indonesia with malls, cafes, pubs etc. you can get a proper city life experience here. We spent the rest of the day strolling around the city. We had our dinner at Bunga Rampi Resto and went for a party and coincidentally it was also one of the blogger’s birthday. The party went on till late night and we all had a really good time.
Our next day was reserved for visiting the Art:1 New museum, which is the pioneer in art gallery business in Jakarta. It showcases the collections of original artworks by Indonesian old masters, modern masters and contemporary artists. I was totally amazed by the things that were showcased there. Everything was so interesting and unique. We had our lunch at this really cute place called Fedwell, the place had some amazing vegan and vegetarian options. I also tried coffee coconut latte at 1/15 Coffee and I must say it was great, I had the opportunity to try some really new and different types of coffee. As it was our last day in Jakarta, we explored the city a little more, before heading for dinner at this beautiful place called Amuz Gourmet.
The next morning it was time to say goodbye to Jakarta and hi to Bintan. Stay tuned for my next few blogs to know my full experience of #WonderfulIndonesia 😀
