Festive Dressing | Karigiri
How are you, my bees? And how is November treating y’all?
As for me, November has always been the busiest month for me. First of all, its my birthday month (which btw, was two days back, updates to follow) then there was Diwali this time and numerous weddings and the related functions. Nevertheless, it’s my favorite month, obviously because I get to dress up almost daily. Talking about dressing up, as we all know that the wedding season is in full swing and it’s time to shop for some good traditional wear! And how can I not help my pretty ladies out there!? Today, I have brought to you some super pretty and elegant pieces from Karigiri. The detailings, the carefree silhouettes and the rich fabrics of their outfits makes you feel like you are in some royal era!
I will be showcasing 6 outfits from the festive collection of Karigiri, each suitable for some or the other wedding function (since we Indians have many of them!).
Co-ords seem to be everywhere now and this combination is like no other! I mean look at this hand painted skirt (skirt obsession alert!). The style and fitting of the skirt made me feel so pretty while this cross-back crop top added just the right amount of sassiness (we girls gotta make some heads turn). I wore these hot pink ankle strap stilettos which I thrifted from Dubai to add some color!
This gown is all about lavish dressing and classy styling. I felt so princess-y in this one. The flower embroidery detail on the heavy lycra dress is what makes it different from other gowns. Also, the high-low cut of this gown works great for the overall look. I wore tassel earrings from chica blanca and black stilettos from Zara to complete the look!
Capes are big this season and adding them to the traditional wear is the wisest decisions of all! You tend to get stuck on some pieces for their unusuality. This. This gown is surely one of them. The work at the bottom of the gown makes it more defined. I accessorized it with a big studded ring from Chica Blanca and heavy kadas for the finishing touches!
Somewhere inside us is a girl who is in love with ballgown type silhouettes (and can-can fabric!). This indo-western gown is my favorite for its minimal work and elegant drapes. This kind of silhouette is also great for girls who may want to camouflage their hips. The color is what makes this gown more desirable! I carried a white clutch from Chica Blanca with this one as it subtly adds grace to the whole outfit.
On some functions, you feel like wearing a little lighter outfit with less work and rich fabric. This velvet jacket has beautiful neckline and the dhoti makes this outfit stylish as well as comfortable. It lets you go through a long day full of ceremonies & is surely going to get you lots of compliments. Since the outfit had minimal work, I added this beautiful black clutch from Chica Blanca ( you gotta keep your makeup somewhere).
I have always wanted to be a runaway bride (basically, dress like one!) and this outfit made that wish come true! The brown boots and the ray bans helped me create this badass look. Well, I am not asking you to wear the lehenga like that, or you can! This lehenga can be worn either with a long jacket or with a choli (choice is yours!). The work is beautiful and the intricate details are so tasteful! For the baubles part, I wore long tassel earrings from Pipa Bella and I was ready to pose!
These were the 6 looks that I created. You can follow Karigiri on Facebook & Instagram. And the beautiful accessory brand Chica Blanca here & here. Comment below and let me know which one of these you liked the most. I would love to know your views.
Love and Power to you my lovelies!
