Road trip to shimla with Avis

There is nothing better than hitting the road, when you need a break from the hustle bustle of life. Last month I had a feeling that work was taking over my life and I was craving for a much needed holiday to refresh my mind. So, I planned a road trip to Mashobra, Shimla and Avis was kind enough to offer their services for the same. Avis is a car rental company, that specializes in self driven and chauffer driven luxury cars.

I left for Shimla on the night of 27th June and since it was my first time travelling with Avis and also because I am not very easily convinced I was a little skeptical. But, within just few minutes of hitting the road I was really impressed with the car and the service. They sent a chauffer driven Innova, very clean and well maintained.

The entire ride from Delhi to Mashobra was such a smooth and comfortable one. I didn’t face any problem what so ever. The car had GPS installed and there were push buttons for emergencies, so it felt completely safe. The chauffer was also very professional; he was polite and was well versed in both English and Hindi. And since Avis has a set speed limit i.e.80km/hr, rash driving and speeding was also not something to worry about. If you are a woman, who loves travelling solo, I will definitely recommend you to book a car with Avis., completely safe and secure.

On reaching  Shimla I stayed at Wildflower Hall and I was truly amazed by how beautiful the property was. Amidst the lush greenery, it was the perfect place that I would have asked for a getaway. And I am glad I planned this trip with Escapes Club. They are the one stop shop if you are looking for a luxury holiday experience. Apart from taking care of the accommodation at the lovely Wildflower Hall, they also arranged a customized spa session for me. They have amazing deals for some of the best luxury hotel around the world. The two days that I spent at the Wildflower Hall were so so relaxing, chilled in the hot water Jacuzzi with the best view, had wine and was happy to be in the lap of  nature.

As I was enjoying this break a little too much and also because I had a personal car with chauffer at my service (all thanks to Avis), I decided to extend my trip for one more day and go to Narkhanda. On my way to Narkhanda, the weather was just perfect for some hot maggi, so I had to make a quick stop to have some. I stayed in Narkhanda for just one day and our hotel had a beautiful view.

And that’s how my little break came to end as I was ready to come to Delhi and get back to work with a clear mind. I would have to agree this road trip would never have been this easy if I didn’t have Avis car for commute. I am definitely looking forward to my next road trip with them.
